Description

The Diploma Intersectionality and Gender: Approaches to Public Problems arises from the reflection accumulated by the Nķcleo I+D+I Diversidad y Gťnero, with the interest of deepening complex readings of various situations of exclusion and social inequalities. The program aims to address the challenges faced by public action and social intervention processes that address gender inequalities, applying an intersectional perspective.

Program Objectives

The program objectives are:

• Understand the epistemological, theoretical, methodological, and ethical-political foundations of feminist and gender studies.
• Examine and understand the contributions of intersectional feminist perspectives to the complex understanding of social inequalities and exclusion processes.
• Problematize unidimensional readings of gender inequalities from an intersectional feminist perspective.
• Reflect on the design and implementation of social interventions from an intersectional feminist perspective.
• Critically analyze public policies addressing social issues related to gender from an intersectional feminist perspective.

  • Objective: Introduces feminist and gender studies in an interdisciplinary dialogue with social sciences.
• Subject 2: Public policies, gender and intersectionalities: Current challenges
  • Objective: Analyze public policies addressing gender issues, focusing on current challenges in Latin America.
• Subject 3: Intersectional feminist perspectives
  • Objective: Deepen understanding of intersectional feminist theories and their contributions to complex social inequality analysis.
• Subject 4: Social intervention: challenges from a critical intersectional perspective
  • Objective: Examine social interventions from a critical intersectional perspective, analyzing discourses, logics, and methodologies.
